The region

East Central Saskatchewan is a region with a long farming tradition, a rich heritage, all-season recreation opportunities, an affordable cost of living, and all the amenities you might want, both on the farm and in its towns and cities.

The landscape ranges from prairie to rolling parkland, with scenic valleys and plenty of lakes suitable for a variety of recreational activities.

Every winter, snowmobile enthusiasts converge on eastern Saskatchewan, where more than 500 kilometres of integrated snowmobile trails are maintained.

Yorkton is the hub for shopping and services for a trading area that stretches through eastern Saskatchewan and north western Manitoba, but many of the larger town and villages also offer basic services, including those most needed by farmers and ranchers.
